like I sort of think i’m a republican because I think anthropic can scrape whatever it wants to scrape online based on the fact that its only valuable because like one person has a use for it and Facebook gets away famously with making money on user generated content so I think the content should be free for remixing and future developers can do so too which is a better environment for programmers that famously don’t develop their own content because they don’t know how to buy that doesn’t change that fact that what they do know how to develop is useful and in the hands of developers content can be made more appreciable we have a better way to appreciate content because of current content rules and over turning a verdict that anthropic has to pay $1.5 Billion dollars for nothing for a cheap legal win the shit is garbage without coalescing into finer forms anyways I think this is a Republican thought and the reverse the one where authors are the sole creators of value that that deserve infinite compensation for their priceless works of art is bullshit … if my art is really worth something someone will pay me
