that is the problem with computer science in the reference section you can spend 10 books picking apart the field and come away with nothing and then you have nothing you can talk about with society unlike a liberal arts book in sociology that if you read 10 pages in you get whole new speeches you can lay down in a conversation in general that’s why they need to organize the reference section of computer science so that you don’t waste your time reading books that are just going to be a drag on your time when you need books that have knowledge written into them not like a Javascript O Reilly book that is a piece of rhetoric it’s the rhetorical works of computer science that need dealt with quickly not the processing.org books imparting knowledge but the rhetorical structures that go on to spew dialogue and they need to let you know in advance this book will only teach you how to speak about computer science it won’t teach you how to program to this day I haven’t found a suitable programming manual I have one that comes close but an end to end computer programming manual with dozens of examples to work through like a course book on programming that has the knowledge and the guided meditation that leads you through steps you have to go through to master programming … just a general organizing of the books of computer science and i’m certain it’s the same for other fields like a real online library of books that you can buy like something like what amazon offers but organized via a website that gets into the details of the books and the reading lists that are developed to get you in shape … if amazon had reading lists that’s like 8 book purchases per list that lead to conscientiousness in the reader … books that don’t leave you wondering what you missed out on … books that are clear … like maybe I should get a job AT O Reilly and work on art directing the production of Computer Science Reference Works because I clearly care enough to apply I don’t know if i’m a book designer though that could be a little presumptuous
