I am 14 Chapters into my first Bible study of my adult life and I am starting with the first book of the new testament in the NIV BIBLE and I am finding early on that Jesus and the apostles are famous for being like X Men it reads like some kind of comic book you have the poor mystical medically talented down to party apostles and you have the stern ready to rule searching for anything that would fuck up their marriage in the desert locale far and wide and really a turning point in the story is when deandra calls for the head of John the Baptist on a platter that bitch I go on here …
I think in Mathew 14 when the king’s girlfriend asked for John the Baptist’s head on a platter I take that as fore shadowing it’s evidence that there is a class difference between jesus and his generation and the ruling class where the way some woman could make a bold statement he would have done anything for her and that no class hussy decided she wanted to cause some trouble and be a source of murder in cold blood just because she wanted to do that and it’s a complicated social strata in Galilea where jesus and the celebrities are casting miracles upon people and the ruling upper class has no special powers other than the rule and might over their people and that contrast of austere magician mixed with powerless authority sets the tone for the coming age for jesus
